Track Name: A Soul Like Mine
When the ally of an angel tells me her tale
And I say nothing, nothing at all
She takes the silence for indifference
And stays away from anyone who might see her fall

When some return home to set off on their own
They slip into the shadows farther than I've ever known
When the sibling of a brother says, "I can't lose another!"
I'd call you insane, but I feel the same

How could I know what it means?
Things are not quite what they seem

How many people before I know
What I have done wrong or where I should go?
Now I feel the time go by
And know I need to change before I die

When the victim of a hurt mind
Asks me for my time
And then after a while I forget what it meant
Even for a soul like mine

They say I have an ego, these people and my blood
Well maybe I'm just miserable, I've lost them all but one

How could I know what it means?
Things are not quite what they seem
How could I know what it means?
Things are not (never) quite what they seem

How many people before I know
What I have done wrong or where I should go
Now I feel the time go by
And I will lose if I don't try
Now I feel the time go by
But can I really change before I die?
Track Name: The Long Way
Have you ever been on your own?
It's not quite the same as being alone
You stand aside, let the others by
And never stop asking yourself why

Oh, I don't know what to think
Well, I've been pushed to the brink
Now there's no place left to run
I think I'm really under the gun

I've got a long way to go before I know
How I can help you and if I was meant to
So I'll take the long way to go so that I know
What I can do and if I was meant to

There are so many things that I have not seen
I let them make me wonder what might have been
I let them slide, rhyme by rhyme
Until they're no longer my favorite time

How do we know what's right?
When to quit, or call the fight?

Oh, I don't know what to think
Well, I've been pushed to the brink
Now there's no place left to run
I think I'm really under the gun

I've got a long way to go before I know
How I can help you and if I was meant to
So I'll take the long way to go so that I know
What I can do and if I was meant to

Oh, I don't know what to think
Well, I've been pushed to the brink
Now there's no place left to run
I think I'm really under the gun

I've got a long way to go before I know
How I can help you and if I was meant to
So I'll take the long way to go so that I know
What I can do and if I was meant to

I just need the truth
I need to know what to do
I just need the truth
I need to know what's right for you
Track Name: In Your Situation
Well it's been years now
I'm still aware of a fear that haunts my name and home somehow
It affects me deeply
I tell myself I see it clearly, till you say to me

"I have these memories buried in shame
I only make a friend to have someone to blame
So many things they say will take away the pain
But in the end I'm just another name like you"

I have to believe I would have been O.K. too
But I'll never know what it is you've been fighting through
I have to believe I would have done as well as you
But I never know what is the right thing to do

Well it's been days now
I only think of our inner workings and how I'm not so proud
So much they're been through
The fire burning, the darkness yearning
The things that I am learning from you

"I have these memories of days without shame
I know when I should just stop deflecting blame
I only need a friend to take away the pain
At times like this I know I'm not another name to you"

So now I know I would have been O.K. too
But I'll still never know exactly what it is you've been fighting through
And now I know no one could have done as well as you
At least I know what is the right thing to do
Track Name: Our Favorite People
Our favorite people are not hard for us to see
Some might disagree, but they're so much more to me
How did we grow up together, separated by space?
I know it must be more than just that place

Does this have to end?
See you next time friends

We are far away from home
But not alone
We are flesh and blood and bone
And not alone

Have you seen this film? Or have you played this game?
I think you'd like it, though I know we're not the same
Time is leaving us, I made a mistake
Next round I'll try to laugh and stay up late

Does this have to end?
See you next time friends

We are far away from home
But not alone
We are flesh and blood and bone
And not alone

We are far away from home
But not alone
We are flesh and blood and bone
And not alone

We are far away from home
But not alone
We are flesh and blood and bone
And not alone
